Why Turkey

Why Indian students choose Turkey

Degrees taught in English

Many private universities teach medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, engineering, business and psychology fully in English.

Admission on your grades

Private universities usually admit international students on their Class 12 (Higher Secondary) grades from CBSE, ISC, a state board or an equivalent qualification, without a central entrance exam. Some programs, such as medicine, set higher requirements.

Clear fees before you apply

See the tuition fee and deposit of every program in our program search, so you can plan your budget first.

Approved universities

Every university in Turkey that we work with is approved by YÖK, Turkey's Council of Higher Education. The North Cyprus universities we work with are also recognized by YÖK.

FAQ

Questions Indian students ask us

Can Indian students study in Turkey in English?

Yes. Many private universities in Turkey and North Cyprus teach full degree programs in English. Our program search shows the teaching language of every program.

Do I need IELTS?

Not always. Universities accept different English certificates, and many run their own English proficiency test. If you do not reach the required level, you can usually start with an English preparatory year.

Can I study MBBS in Turkey and practise in India?

Several private universities in Turkey teach medicine in English. If you want to practise in India later, you must meet the National Medical Commission (NMC) Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate Regulations, 2021. They include a course of at least 54 months; an internship of at least 12 months, with the whole course and internship at the same foreign university; English as the medium of instruction; registration or eligibility for a licence to practise medicine in the country where you studied, on the same basis as its citizens; a supervised internship of at least 12 months in India; and passing the exam set by the NMC. The NMC also requires Indian citizens who study medicine abroad to qualify NEET. Check how each condition applies to your program, and the latest NMC rules, before you choose. Read our guide to studying medicine in Turkey in English.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the university and the program. You can see current tuition fees and deposits in our program search, and living costs in our cost of studying in Turkey guide.

Is your service free?

Yes. Our admission and registration help is free, and you pay tuition directly to the university.

Are there scholarships?

Many private universities offer discounts to international students, and Turkey also has the government Türkiye Bursları scholarship. See our scholarship guide.
