FAQ
Questions Nigerian students ask us
Can Nigerian students study in Turkey in English?
Yes. Many private universities in Turkey and North Cyprus teach full degree programs in English. Our program search shows the teaching language of every program.
Do I need IELTS?
Not always. Universities accept different English certificates, and many run their own English proficiency test. If you do not reach the required level, you can usually start with an English preparatory year.
Can I study MBBS in Turkey?
Yes. Several private universities teach medicine in English. Requirements are higher than for most programs. Read our guide to studying medicine in Turkey in English.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the university and the program. You can see current tuition fees and deposits in our program search, and living costs in our cost of studying in Turkey guide.
Is your service free?
Yes. Our admission and registration help is free, and you pay tuition directly to the university.
Should I choose Turkey or North Cyprus?
For most Nigerian students we recommend universities in Turkey. North Cyprus is recognized only by Turkey, and Nigerian authorities have in the past warned students about studying there and about how those degrees are recognized at home. If you are still considering North Cyprus, check the current position of the Federal Ministry of Education before you apply, and read our North Cyprus guide. An advisor can compare options in Turkey for your program and budget.
Are there scholarships?
Many private universities offer discounts to international students, and Turkey also has the government Türkiye Bursları scholarship. See our scholarship guide.
